Using your credit/Debit card still has some limitations that I have pointed out below in an FAQ’s

Q: How can I use my credit card?

Credit cards are only used to send money or make a payment.  Adding funds to your AlertPay balance acount by credit card is not available at this time.

Q. How do I add a credit card to my account?

To add a credit card, just follow these instructions:
1. Login to your AlertPay account.
2. Click on “Profile”.
3. Under “Financial”, click on “Credit Cards”.
4. Enter in your credit card details and click on “Next”.
5. Check the box to agree to the terms and conditions.
6. Click on “Finish”.
Your credit card has been added successfully.

Q: Does Aletpay accept debit cards?
Yes, Alert Pay accept debit cards only if they are issued by Visa or MasterCard.  You can use your debit card the same way you can use a credit card. Please note that you cannot deposit money with your debit card, but you can withdraw funds from your AlertPay balance as long as your debit card is issued by Visa or MasterCard. You can also use it to make direct payments through the Send Money feature or a seller’s checkout process.

Q: What types of cards do we accept?
clip_image002[2]
AlertPay accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express, as well as debit cards issued by Visa or MasterCard.

Q: What is the spending limit for credit cards?

clip_image002[3]
Currently, the spending limit with a credit card is $500 USD due to our agreement with Visa and MasterCard. This limit is reset at the beginning of each calendar month. If you need to spend more than $500 in one month, you can add a second credit card which will also have a $500 limit, giving you access to $1000 a month by credit card.

Q: What is  phone validation?
clip_image002[4]
This measure will ensure that the right person is initiating the credit card transaction and will prevent fraudsters from using stolen credit card information to make purchases. In Send Money or checkout, you will be brought to a phone validation screen after clicking on “Send” or “Pay” respectively. You will be prompted to choose a phone number listed in your account. You will also be given the option of adding a new number.
After choosing or adding a phone number, select “Request validation code” and you will receive an automated phone call with a validation code. You must enter the code in the appropriate field before completing your purchase.
If you are a U.S. or Canadian citizen, this will count towards the verification of your AlertPay account. Please note that you only need to complete this process once.

Q: How do I send money using a credit card?

clip_image002[5]
You can use your credit card to send funds to friends, family and sellers. To do this, you must login to your AlertPay account and add your credit card to your profile information.  Once your credit card has been added to your profile, you can use it to send money.

3. Under “Financial”, click on “Credit Cards”.
4. Enter credit card details and click on “Next”.
5. Verify details and check box to agree to “Terms and Conditions”.
6. Click on “Finish”.

Q: Why can't I pay with MasterCard?
clip_image002[6]
Solution The seller you are trying to pay may not be able to accept MasterCard payments at this time. Alternatively, you can use a different credit card, such as a Visa or American Express, or use one of our other depositing methods to credit your AlertPay account and complete your transaction.
You can choose from a number of methods to deposit money into your AlertPay account:
•  Bank Wire
•  Bank Transfer*
•  Certified/Cashier’s Check
•  Money Order
Just login to your AlertPay account and click on "Deposit" to initiate a deposit transaction. Follow the simple steps and you are on your way.
*Please check if Alertpay provide
local banking for your country.
Furthermore, some sellers must complete a website review in order to accept credit card payments through their website. If you have already added your MasterCard to your AlertPay account, or any other acceptable credit card, and still cannot make your payment, it could be that the seller has not completed this mandatory process or just cannot accept MasterCard payments.
If this is the case, please contact the seller for more information.

clip_image002[7]

1. During checkout or Send Money, select “Use my credit card”, under “Method of Payment”.
2. Select your Visa or MasterCard. This feature does not support American Express.
3. Select “Edit the currency of your credit card”.
4. Click on “Update”.
